About

About Ben

My career has taken a winding path through music education, corporate training, instructional design, and knowledge management. The common thread has always been people. I enjoy understanding what drives them, building trust, and helping them connect with ideas that matter.

Whether I'm facilitating a workshop, designing self-paced learning, or helping a team improve the way they share knowledge, I'm trying to solve the same problem: helping people understand.

I believe understanding comes from context. When people know the why behind their work, they make better decisions, solve better problems, and gain confidence in what they do.

That's the thread connecting everything you'll find in this portfolio.

Background

My path

I began my career in music education, where I discovered that great teaching isn't about delivering information—it's about understanding people. Every learner brings different experiences, motivations, strengths, and obstacles.

That lesson followed me into corporate learning. Whether I'm designing onboarding, facilitating workshops, or building knowledge systems, I'm still focused on helping people move from confusion to confidence.

Along the way, I've earned a bachelor's degree in music education, an MBA, and KCS v6 certification. Different roles have given me different tools, but they've all reinforced the same belief: when people understand why their work matters, they do their best work.
